Talbiyah
لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka la sharika laka labbayk, innal-hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk, la sharika lak.
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise, blessings, and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner. This is the pilgrim's core declaration throughout Hajj — repeated often on the road, between rites, and in quiet moments — affirming that you have answered Allah's call and come with total sincerity.
حاضر ہوں، اے اللہ! میں حاضر ہوں۔ میں حاضر ہوں، تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں، میں حاضر ہوں۔ بے شک تمام تعریف اور نعمت تیرے ہی لیے ہے اور بادشاہت بھی تیری ہی ہے، تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں۔
Dua of Arafat
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir.
There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. Scholars encourage repeating it as many times as possible through the afternoon, pausing between repetitions to make personal dua in whatever language feels most sincere — Arafat is considered the single most important moment of Hajj, and this declaration anchors it.
اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ اکیلا ہے، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، بادشاہت اسی کی ہے اور تمام تعریفیں اسی کے لیے ہیں، اور وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔
Dhikr at Muzdalifah
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illallah, Alhamdulillah.
Allah is the Greatest, there is no god but Allah, all praise is for Allah. Many pilgrims spend part of the night collecting the 49 or 70 pebbles they will need for the Jamarat over the following days, resting under the open sky, and reflecting quietly rather than following a fixed liturgy — the freedom of the night is itself part of its character.
اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں۔
Takbir while pelting the Jamarat
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
Allahu Akbar.
Allah is the Greatest. On the 10th of Dhul Hijjah only Jamarah al-Aqaba, the largest pillar, is pelted; on the following days all three pillars are pelted in order, starting with the smallest, Al-Ula.
اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے۔
Dua at the time of Sacrifice (Qurbani)
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا مِنْكَ وَلَكَ
Bismillah, Allahu Akbar, Allahumma hadha minka wa lak.
In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, this is from You and for You. The sacrifice commemorates Ibrahim's (AS) willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail (AS) in obedience to Allah, and its meat is distributed to those in need — you do not need to be physically present for it to count on your behalf.
اللہ کے نام سے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اے اللہ! یہ تیری ہی طرف سے ہے اور تیرے ہی لیے ہے۔
